Sand Spur Ultramarathon

The Sand Spur Ultramarathon needed a look for its inaugural race. 31 miles of the most grueling terrain (soft sand) you can find in South Florida located in Jupiter Ridge, Florida. Design elements include the use of horse flies and of course sand spurs which are prevalent at Jupiter Ridge.

After the success of the Sand Spur Ultramarathon the two race directors decided to launch a followup race, the Trident Horrible Half Marathon. A just as grueling half-marathon in July starting at high noon. The race gets its name from the shape of the course route which look very similar to a trident.

A video of one of the sections of the course was produced using a steadycam. The video was used to promote the race and bring awareness to the Jupiter Ridge park.
